1. Great leaders are great followers.
Listen, communicate, and follow your pastor/leader. This includes being authentic and honest in how God is leading you.
2. Boundaries are a must!
You must set up clear boundaries for those of the opposite gender. There is absolutely no room for anything inappropriate.
You also have to set up boundaries regarding your time with family and your wife. This comes before everything except time with Jesus.
3. Routines are essential (75% of the time.)
There are always things that have to be done. And those are necessary, but you need to allow time for those unexpected creative moments.
4. Build a healthy team not just a talented one.
Do not neglect to shepherd and pastor your team. Put their souls above their musical capabilities.
5. God must be first in everything.
Do not neglect your relationship with God for being busy and ‘working’ for the Lord. He must come first.
