1. Choose Gospel Centered Songs.
I realize this may seem fairly obvious, but you’d be surprised at how often we overlook the absence of the gospel in songs we are so familiar with.
2. Bookend Your Worship Service.
Use a song at the very beginning of the service that is full of gospel truth and likewise, use another gospel centered song or better yet, have a reprise of the same song at the end of service.
3. Responsive Readings.
I don’t come from a liturgical church but I realize the value of responsive readings when they are thought out and done well. You can right your own taken from one of your songs or from the scriptures. Or both.
4. Vidual Presentation.
I love instrumentals however they can be extremely awkward in church. Instead of just rocking out, use an appropriate scripture that will point your church goers to the gospel.
5. Teach Them.
You can never assume everyone knows the gospel that attends your church, so take the opportunity to do a simple teaching regarding the gospel as you sing through a song.
Nothing ground breaking or new, but incorporating the gospel into our worship services is absolutely vital in glorifying God through our worship.
