Worship is more than singing songs on a Sunday morning. It is a response to who God is, what He has done, and the relationship He invites us into. Romans 12:1 — Worship Through Surrender
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.

Psalm 150:3-6 — Praise God With Everything
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.
Psalm 150 paints a picture of worship that involves all creation. Every gift, instrument, and voice can be used to glorify God.

Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.

Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day.

Philippians 4:6 — Worship Through Thanksgiving
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Thanksgiving is a form of worship because it shifts our focus from our circumstances to God’s character and faithfulness.
Revelation 5:13 — The Worship We Are Moving Toward
Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: ‘To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!’
The Bible ends with a picture of all creation joining together in worship. Every act of worship today is a glimpse of the eternal worship we will one day experience.

Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together.
Worship is personal, but it is also communal. God designed His people to gather together and lift His name as one body.

Jesus said to him, ‘Away from me, Satan! For it is written: “Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.”‘
